Cheap food for all meals. Wonderful area, fantastic location, really close to a break from the hustle and bustle of the westernized big cities of Spain, and the beach and center.

Spectacular and lovely hotel with incredible location right down below the hill that the property was built on.

This hotel offers great value for money. The spacious apartment was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a kitchen and a nice balcony. The location is perfect, being close to both the beach and the village, making it convenient for exploring and dining out. The views from the balcony were absolutely stunning, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful Mediterranean sea and the surrounding mountains.

There was a slight issue with cleanliness in some areas of the apartment, such as the fridge and under the bed. everything was satisfactory.

We were absolutley delighted with our apartment on the fourth floor and guess we would want this again in the future for the spectacular views which may not be available in lower floors.Staff were extremely helpful.All in all a memorable visit to celebrate my wife's birthday in a perfect location.

We would have appreciated a kettle to boil water in the kitchen for making tea This was a slight disadvantage when we had to boil water in a pan on the hot plate ceramica. But I guess this is a cultural difference as there was a coffee perculator available.We would also have appreciated if the cafe&bar had been open later in the day and not just in the morning. Nearest bar in the evening is in the centre of town which is a fair walk away. Again this may be because mid May is not regarded as being the high seasonand therefore not viable to open the bar later in the day.

This hotel is a hidden gem, tucked away in a classic "whitewashed" Andalusian village. The location is perfect, right below a hill and just a stone's throw away from a gorgeous, tranquil beach with warm water. The rooms are well-equipped with excellent facilities, including a kitchen and a washing machine. The view from the large balcony is simply breathtaking. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a comfortable stay.

We had an amazing time in this quiet and relaxing location. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed, including a great shower and a balcony with lovely views. It was situated only a short walk from the beach, and we enjoyed taking a stroll to get access to the local shops and food places, which were just 10 minutes away.

We visited during the end of October, and the town was almost entirely closed, which meant that we were unable to access many of the facilities. Nevertheless, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made up for it.

The Vistamar San José is a very pleasant hotel overlooking the bay of San José in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. It is a little bit outside from the village centre, but still in the village; about a ten minute walk to the centre. Clean and surprisingly large apartments. Facilities like pool and tabletennis. Breakfest was not included, but there is an in-house cafeteria with reasonable prices for coffee, soft drinks, sandwiches, etc. Very close to the footpath leading to the neighbouring unspoilt beaches, which are simply breathtaking for someone otherwise used to the ugly urbanisations and plastic-covered fields of the Costa del Sol.

We had our apartment upgraded, without asking, as there was building work on the next building (expected to be completed March/April 2011). Staff very friendly & helpful. Accomodation good, everything worked well, heating, hot water & cooking facilties. As far as we could tell all rooms had excellent views accross San Jose bay.
